2 out of 4 ain't bad

You may think i've been a bit slack in updating this blog but in fact i haven't watched a film in nearly 2 months! So i decided to make up for it by watching 4 films over the last couple of days...

Death Proof = No dog
Great film but sadly no dog

Alien 3 = Dog!
The dog in this film has quite a big part!

Fallen = No dog
Denzel Washington film with some cats and a raccoon but they missed the dog out!

The Glimmer Man = Dog!
I've come to the conclusion that every Seagal film has a dog in it...

So all in all its a disappointing statistic, only 50%! But i like to think i just picked 2 films out of the 1% of films without dogs by coincidence!

A lot of people have asked me how i can be sure i haven't missed a dog during the film. Well it becomes a habit and you just know when there hasnt been one... Try it yourself! And make sure you shout out to anyone whos watching the film when you spot one!*

*this is particularly effective in the cinema...

Dogblog

Second day, second film, wow! I watched the Steven Seagal film 'Out For Justice' last night and to be honest i was a bit sceptical about a dog being it because both Under Seige and Under Seige 2 had zero dogs in them... But, i should have read the back of the DVD a bit more carefully:

"He's a mad dog unleashed, who Gino's more than willing to send to an eternal obiedience school."

The dog metaphor showed itself in the film when someone unrelated to the plot throws a dog in a bag out of a car which Seagal picks up and looks after for the rest of the film. It has nothing to do with the mass-murder plotline whatsoever! I don't wanna give away the end but let's just say the dog gets its revenge on the guy who chucked it out of the car...!

Sweeney Todd

I took a lovely trip to the cinema last night to watch Sweeney Todd (good film!) and couldn't help but notice there was one dog in it. Now i've been pissing people off for a long time by pointing out dogs in films but a lot of the time they seem to appear for the sole reason of having to have a dog in the film! Why? I'm going to try and find out...

Anyway this dog walked past near the beginning while Anthony was sitting on a bench near a park so not that strange this time...
